Positive Messaging for My Patriots' Pride

Suggestions for Speakers: (Should be no more than 9 speakers per event location):                                                                            

1.     - Speak for 2- 5 minutes from the heart, please do not read a script.

2.     - Tell about your service to your country how you contributed

3.     - Tell about your family tradition of military service

4.     - Explain how being Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) Service Member did not impact readiness. Discuss about allies knowing and not caring. Brag about equality being supported where/when it is.

5.    -  If you are not LGBT former employee of DOD explain the story of somebody who is that contributed. A resource for learning about some LGBT Vets http://www.gaymilitarysignal.com/ .

6.    -  Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don%27t_ask,_don%27t_tell and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_orientation_and_military_service  use this for background about facts to explain why placing Transgender in a Don’t Ask Don’t Tell Don’t Pursue (DADT) situation is completely unacceptable. 7.    -  If you wanted to join the military, but are not because of openly Transgender service members being kicked out explain why.

        * Talk about the need for reparations and discharge paper corrections for all Service Members that have been kicked out for being LGBT.

        * Talk about the fact that DADT being declared Unconstitutional is NOT a moot point!

  Pictures and Videos of Event:

2.     Videos can be first uploaded on Youtube and then via the Youtube link can be uploaded onto DOD FED GLOBE’s web. Then share them via email, twitter, FB, and other social networks.

3.     Pictures can be uploaded on DOD FED GLOBE's website and also shared via social networking there. 

4.     The DOD FED GLOBE social network is free to join. Go to www.dodfedglobe.com click on networking. Sign on. Wait for email check. Then sign in and go to pictures to add pictures and videos to add videos. 

        You can also list additional information about your specific My Patriots Pride and or other events on the events tab; this also works with social networks. Any event you post will disappear the day after the event is over.
